Creating participatory arts events and working with artists to develop their careers.

Bryony Good

photographer | writer

Based in London

After graduating with a degree in Photography from Brighton University and completing an MA in Visual Arts at Bradford College I have spent my time involving myself in a number of arts organisations. I have worked with a wide variety of very inspiring artistic practitioners who have encouraged my passion for widening participation within the arts.

I am a photographic artist myself and love travelling, taking photographs and talking to and learning from other artists and their work.

Mount Skip - Digital pigment print / 35mm film & Fotodye inks. 50 x 30 cm (19' x 11')

Growing up surrounded by the desolate beauty of the Yorkshire landscape Bryony developed work that explores the romanticised nostalgia landscapes can evoke.

Her experimental photographic process has led to the creation of blurred, scratched and stained images, the results are a surreal, dreamlike and often disjointed, mirroring the disorientating experience of remembering.

Now London based, she works with photography to explore and experiment with analogue process, often referencing nostalgia towards photographic practice itself. While distinctly holding historical references, her work also engages with contemporary discourses on the analogue/digital divide and the effects these have on photography’s status.

  • To develop the experimental aspects of working with photography further
  • To work towards the exhibition of both my own and others work
  • To work with others to help widen participation within the arts
  • To meet and work with artists
