Mussarat Rahman is an eclectic visual artist, practising across the board of Creative Arts, including 2d and 3D art using reclaimed materials. She has been a practising artist at least 20 years and initially started off as a textiles student and gradually expanded on her delivery of the Arts spectrum through self-learning and becoming self-taught.
Mussarat has diversified her experience and knowledge across the various projects delivered with community groups and eclectic diaspora across Bradford, West Yorkshire and the Humber regions. Some of these organisations worked with are Artworks, Leeds Tapestries, Arts on the Run, BIASAN, TPCT, Forster College, BMCD to name a few.
Mussarat is an avid supporter of BIASAN( a refugee and asylum support group in Bradford) with whom she has been with over ten years, and continues to support the group by various activities including creative arts & therapies, residentials, walks, demos, and more.
Mussarat is also a skilled Healer/Therapeutic practitioner and Spiritual Artist, drawing, painting, designing a range of spiritually inspired artworks which are based on combining a variety of spiritual philosophies with theologies. Mussarat also delivers a range of combined Holistic/Well-being workshops in the community.
